Description/Blazon

On a dark blue field in front of a pair of black cannons with silver gray outline in saltire, a silver gray representation of the Clock Tower embellished with the emblem of the United States Army North below a white lone star.  Arched above a red scroll inscribed “FORT SAM’S OWN” and arched in base “323D ARMY BAND” in white letters.   


Symbolism

Red, white and blue are the colors of the Texas flag.  The lone star also represents Texas.  The Clock Tower is a historically significant place at Fort Sam Houston.  A French horn designed with an “A” and the number “5” signifies the Band’s history with Fifth Army.

The band regalia were originally authorized on 7 December 2011.  The designs were modified in 27 September 2022.
